The Edmonton & Area 567 Club March meeting Minutes

February minutes were read by Roy with a minor correction to be added,
The Feb. meeting website #s were corrected- Jan. 1631 & Feb. 2630
visits from outside the Club.
Red Deer Swap meet costs for April 19th club table $45.00 plus Roy & Jim to have each a table ($45.00 each)..
The Club account was presented, all in order & No dispersements at
this time.. All members presented gave the thumbs up to report…
The road trip to Reynolds Museum was discussed, Roy gave the info to
the membership, it is planned for April 12th & meet at Reynolds for
10 a.m.. Club will pay admission for CURRENT Paid members & the
lunch if required. Member’s spouses and/or accompanied guests will have to pay their own admissions..
Roy requires a head count for this trip & present your current membership card at the door.
Roy had earlier (in Jan.) presented an idea of making a engraved club
logo plate (like the ones from the USA that their clubs have) for
anyone to see and order. Idea is still on the books and Roy to present
his rendition at the March meeting..
Upcoming Swap meets that
the club will be there to promote our group, April 16th at Drayton
Valley & April 23rd at Stony Plain..
At D.V to have 3 tables @
$25.00 ea. (Jim paying for one table) & at S.P. the club to have 3
Tables @ $40.00 ea.(one for the club and Roy & Brian are the
others).
Jim & Roy to have a meeting on March 23rd with
Canadian Tire Store Manager & Owner on a possible move for B vs W
Show n Shine. Canadian Tire very interested in our event. Report to be given @ April Meeting.. Pros & Cons to be discussed..
Armand is getting the club 8 tables that were donated to us by the a Community League in North Edmonton. Thank-you Armand !!
Bowties vs the World
The sponsorship commitments for this year are coming in with the start
of 5 returnees and one paid up sponsor, A couple of new sponsors could
be added ( Fountain Tire & BD Lock ltd, from D.V). Still looking for
15 (2-5 gal plastic) pails for the award ballot voting. Anyone that
could help locate these items, let Jim know..
Award fees have not
been changed from the last few years, $245.00 for a complete award
sponsorship (1st & 2nd Place) or for a 1st place only - $140.00
& 2nd place only - $115.00. There are 6 single awards for $ 125.00
each. If interested contact Jim.. Most of the past fun events & the
D.J will be in affect plus something New to be added..
The 2016
Northwest Cruise calendar is out (we are listed) & a cruise calendar
for the Pacific Northwest (from Spokane, Wash.) has our event listed..
New Business
1.
Jim found a retro burger spot (ideal for photos) with a 50’s style
canopy over the stalls.. If the group is interested, he will make
arrangements with the owner to have our vehicles show for a photo shoot.
2. A cruise from Nisku to Calmar’s drive in restaurant is planned. for the club, details to be planned out.
