The Edmonton & Area 567 Club November Meeting Minutes
@ The Airways Inn, 7 p.m start 13 members in attendance
October’s minutes were read by Club Prez. Roy and were accepted by all in attendance.
The 1st time in a long time that there was one error that was noted, regarding the Annual Christmas supper. The cost per person is $32.61.. That includes the gratuity & tax..
The Treasurer’s report was given, club account is strong and only 2 bills that have been paid have not shown in the statement, All is Okay, however.
The sale of the Event T-shirts & club T-shirts to be posted on the website. Either shirt is $20.00. Contact Jim K if ya’ want one ! Not many event T-shirts left !!!!
Roy gave a report on the October Swap meet in Red Deer.. The club bought a Bin of Tri-5 parts from the Red Deer Car Club for a $100.00, as an in-house fundraiser or if any members wanted to buy something to add to their project..
The application to the Province has been submitted, Jim waiting for the response.
The club webmaster reports that only 1250 hits in October to the club’s website.
Don C. gave an update on the Annual Christmas supper, slated for Dec.2nd @ BlackJack’s.. November 11th deadline for Tickets.
New Business
The 2016 calendar was presented (a new venture for us) & each paid member to receive one and the extras are $5.00 each. All Sponsors & supporters from this year’s Show n Shine to receive one as appreciation of their help.. Jim to distribute them to all listed.
A Special Thank-you goes out to Roy (for taking pictures for the calendar) , Keith & Jim for working on this project.
The members also discussed the “workings” of a 2017 Calendar, All photo submissions to be sent in by Sept. 30th,2016 & then the membership will determine which photos to be on the 2017 calendar.. Those photos submitted for this year but not on the calendar will have "1st dibs” on the 2017 version.
Roy discussed plans for Winter outings for the members & reminded all, that Executive positions for the 2016 year are upon us..
The 2016 “Bow-ties vs the World” show n shine is slated for August 27th, there maybe a new venue for the event.. More to Come! Also, Jim stated that he would like assistance in planning the 2016 event. He has been “THE Guy” for 15 years and would like one or two members to come on board.. Rather than him doing everything, He is getting old ya’ know !!
Don C. bought the Tri-5 Parts Bin from the club.. So if you need certain things for your project, Contact Don C. @ 780-929-2937, he may have what ya’ need & save ya’ some $$$$$$....
There will be NO Monthly meeting in December due to the Annual Christmas supper..
